There are many ways you can become part of the movement to value and protect rainforests.

Sorry, donations are not yet tax deductible but they are greatly appreciated and go directly to the project, not general operating costs.
Purchase an acre of rainforest
Habitat destruction is the number one threat to rainforests, one of the most effective ways to protect forests is to purchase land that has forest or purchase deforested land close to a protected area and restore native vegetation and wildlife to the area, thereby expanding the rainforest and its benefits. If you would like to purchase an acre or more of land in the Uxpanapa Rainforest area, you may contact us to donate to our buy an acre program we call Rainforest Rescue and Restoration.
Adopt a rainforest tree
Some of the trees in our 300 hectare protected area are over 300 years old! These magnificent giants have survived the enormous challenges of natural and human caused disasters. Now, they stand like elements in a museum, waiting to be visited by all of the species that enjoy their canopy, their fruits, their shelter , their shade and their great capacity for “making mist”. BiodiverCity enjoys creating “personalized” signs for individual trees, sharing with visitors the name, size, amount of water and carbon that is stored and the relationships each tree has with other plant and animal species, showing how a tree is much more valuable alive than as cut timber.
contact us to adopt
Adopt a rainforest animal
The rainforest is full of treasures, but one of its richest jewels must be the fantastic diversity of colors, shapes, sizes, textures, behaviours, sounds and interactions of its amazing wildlife. Niether all the documentaries, nor all the magazines, nor all the scientific studies can begin to cover the greatest expression of life this planet has to offer. BiodiverCity researches one species each year to share the knowledge gained with local residents in order to enhance appreciation of wild animals as valuable and complex living organisms and not just food items or pests.
When you adopt a rainforest animal, BiodiverCity uses your donation of $20.00 to plant 20 -100 of your species’ food tree in and around the 300 hectare protected rainforest area, and an informational spot is published on our Facebook page highlighting your species, with special gratitude to you! When you make a larger donation of $50.00, additionally we will ensure one of our bimonthly magazine issues will be dedicated to your species to highlight the importance and the challenges it faces. We will send you a digital copy of this magazine, and updates on the trees planted and the status of your species in the Uxpanapa Rainforest.

Get out into nature
Get out into nature and value the local green areas close to your home, though it seems hard to connect the two, when we value nature openly we inspire others to do so also and slowly all natural areas, including rainforests, will be respected and protected over time.
