Mission
Our mission is to reintegrate our species into nature.
Vision
Our vision is to build a world where humans live comfortably and appreciatively amongst all other species, elements and relationships that co-exist in our same habitat.
Who We Are
BiodiverCity is a non-profit organization, supported by national and international grants as well as private donations to cultivate and maintain rainforest conservation projects in Mexico. BiodiverCity is a lively and creative organization made up of scientists, artists, constructors, healers and local rainforest community members, convinced that ecosystems can thrive if we integrate respectful interactions with other species into our daily life.
Where We Work
Though we greatly value and celebrate nature preservation in all ecosystems, as of 2013, our efforts have been focused on preserving the highly endangered Uxpanapa limestone tropical rainforest, in the state of Veracruz, in southeastern Mexico. We live and work in the communities, called “Ejidos” that surround the rainforest in order to learn from and share the wisdom the rainforest and its inhabitants have to teach.
